Pop icon Mariah Carey accepted the Vanguard Award at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards wearing a breathtaking $10 million diamond set from Antwerp-based, Lebanese-founded high jewelry house Levuma.
Founded in 2016 by Ali Khalil, Levuma carries a rich diamond legacy dating back to the 1930s, when Khalil’s great-grandfather began trading rough stones in Sierra Leone. The brand’s name pays homage to Levuma, a remote village in southeastern Sierra Leone where the family first dedicated land to diamond mining.
On stage in New York, Carey dazzled in the Rosée Eternelle necklace and earrings, featuring more than 204 carats of D-F color, VVS+ clarity diamonds set in platinum. The exquisite set, previously showcased at the Jewelry Salon in Riyadh earlier this year, perfectly matched the star power of her performance.
Carey completed the night by delivering a medley of her iconic hits, from Fantasy to Obsessed, ensuring both her voice and her jewels shined brilliantly.
