In a nod to its deeply ingrained Italian legacy, Ferragamo’s most recent ad, which was inspired by the Renaissance, features model Mona Tougaard.
Tougaard, who is of Danish, Turkish, Somalian, and Ethiopian ancestry, is pictured in the campaign alongside well-known runway models in front of Renaissance paintings that have been borrowed from Florence’s renowned Uffizi Gallery, which is known for its sizable collection of antiquated sculptures and paintings.
